PORT hosts a multi-disciplinary art event celebrating New Orleans and commemorating the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Curator Pamala Bishop has organized a three-night art happening exploring the city’s collective and individual experiences of Hurricane Katrina through photography, writing, and music. “The Telling” will include works by New Orleans-based photographer Andy Levin, readings by journalist Chris Rose, and musical performances by The Piano Warehouse. Levin and Rose have also invited a selection of artists to contribute to the exhibition.

Performances will take place August 26, 27, and 28. Doors will open each night at 7 pm, and Rose will read at 8 pm. Tickets are $15 and are available for purchase through PORT’s website

Exhibited artworks are on view to the public for free during performances or by appointment.
