The Historic New Orleans Collection presents a documentary about the weaving traditions of rural Louisiana.

The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) presents a screening of Coton Jaune, a documentary sharing the tradition of handspun and handwoven Acadian cotton blankets and their creators. After the screening, the filmmakers Sharon Gordon Donnan and Suzanne Chaillot Breaux will discuss Acadian weaving traditions with scholars Ray Brassieur, Judith Rygiel, and Mercedes Bordelon Whitecloud.

Admission to the screening and discussion is free, but reservations are recommended. Please visit THNOC’s website for more information.
