New Orleans Airlift’s Music Box Village hosts a concert with drummer Tony Allen, who worked with legendary Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti from 1964 to 1979. Allen is joined by New Orleans-based Kumasi Afrobeat Orchestra.
Performances begin at 8:00 pm each night; doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the show. For more information, visit the Music Box Village’s website.
