The New Orleans Museum of Art presents an artist talk with Douglas Bourgeois and a documentary about a covert World War II unit.

The New Orleans Museum of Art hosts its regular Friday Nights at NOMA series. At 6 pm, the museum presents an artist talk with painter Douglas Bourgeois, whose work is currently on view in “Pride of Place: The Making of Contemporary Art in New Orleans.” And at 7:30 pm, NOMA screens director Rick Beyer’s The Ghost Army (2013), a documentary chronicling an American World War II unit tasked with creating battlefield props to trick German soldiers. Printmaker Jim Steg, whose work is currently featured in a retrospective at NOMA, served in the “Ghost Army.”
