The Historic New Orleans Collection presents the controversial film by director Louis Malle, followed by a discussion about Storyville.

The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) hosts a screening of director Louis Malle’s Pretty Baby (1978), which infamously stars 12-year-old Brooke Shields as a child prostitute in New Orleans’ Storyville district. The screening is followed by a discussion led by Alecia Long, the Paul and Nancy Murrill Professor of History at Louisiana State University.

This event is free and open to the public, but reservations are encouraged. For more information, visit THNOC’s website.
