The Ogden Museum of Southern Art celebrates the release of a recent publication about the artist George Dureau, who lived and worked in New Orleans.

The Ogden Museum of Southern Art hosts a panel discussion and a reception in conjunction with the release of George Dureau: The Photographs, published by the Aperture Foundation. The talk includes art critic Philip Gefter; Chris Boot, Executive Director of the Aperture Foundation; Bradley Sumrall, the Ogden Museum’s Curator of the Collection; and Herndon Spillman, one of Dureau’s models. Before the conversation, read artist Pacifico Silano’s reflections on how Dureau’s photographs have influenced his own practice.

More information and tickets are available on the museum’s website. RSVP on Facebook.
