Tulane University’s Newcomb Art Museum and Newcomb Archives & Vorhoff Library are hosting New Orleans’ second annual Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon. The free event focuses on teaching people who identify as female, transgendered, and non-binary how to contribute content to Wikipedia so that the free encyclopedia can better represent non-dominant histories and points of view. The workshop will focus on creating and improving Wikipedia entries for female artists, with a particular emphasis on the Gulf South.
