Artist Christian Marclay’s monumental, 24-hour video installation comes to the Contemporary Arts Center.
Prospect New Orleans and the Contemporary Arts Center present Christian Marclay’s The Clock, 2010, a 24-hour video installation that runs on a continuous loop. The Clock zips through cinematic history in a sequence of short fragments from classic films, and Marclay has carefully matched the on-screen time—marked through clock towers, watches, and other signifiers—with the actual time of day.
The installation is on view November 10 - December 4 at the Contemporary Arts Center. Admission is free and is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information and exact screening times, including extended hours, visit Prospect New Orleans’ website.
