Tulane City Center hosts “Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard: Past, Present, and Future,” an exhibition examining the history of the commercial street that runs through New Orleans’ Central City neighborhood. The exhibition uses photographs, documents, and architectural plans to unearth the street’s many histories over the past 200 years, tracing development back to Irish and German settlers. Curators Beth Jacob and Gabrielle Begue also look at the street today, as renewed interest aims to end decades of divestment and depopulation.
