The Historic New Orleans Collection hosts a reception to celebrate a new plaque commemorating early black newspapers in New Orleans.

The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) hosts a reception with the Louisiana Creole Research Association and the New Orleans Arts & Culture Coalition to celebrate a new plaque commemorating L’Union, the South’s first black newspaper, and the New Orleans Tribune, the country’s first black daily newspaper. The organizations host an event at THNOC’s Williams Research Center before unveiling the plaque.
