The New Orleans Center for the Gulf South at Tulane University presents “Indigenous Spaces, French Expectations: Exploring Exchanges between Native and Non-Native Peoples in Louisiana.” The day-long symposium focuses on pre-colonial life in the Lower Mississippi River Valley and looks critically at early encounters with French settlers in the region.
