Newcomb Art Museum of Tulane University opens a new exhibition.
Newcomb Art Museum of Tulane University hosts a reception to celebrate the opening of “Unfamiliar Again: Contemporary Women Abstractionists,” a group exhibition that includes work by six artists experimenting with process and form. The artists on view are Rachel Beach, Morgan Blair, Amy Ellingson, Brittany Nelson, Alyse Rosner, Barbara Takenaga, and Anne Vieux. The opening begins with a public discussion with Ellingson, Nelson, Vieux, museum director Monica Ramirez-Montagut, and artist Dee Briggs.
