The Preservation Resource Center hosts an exhibition of works by an overlooked New Orleans-based painter.
The Preservation Resource Center (PRC) hosts a reception for visitors to view an exhibition of works by Martha Wright Ambrose, an artist whose practice was rediscovered when a friend purchased and renovated Ambrose’s house after her death. The reception includes a book-signing of Roulhac Toledano and Scott Veazey’s Martha Wright Ambrose: The Rediscovery of a Southern Regional Artist and a talk about the Arts and Crafts Club of New Orleans. The exhibition is on view through August 28.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the PRC’s website.
