The Broad Theater screens a classic Japanese New Wave film.

The Broad Theater presents screenings of director Toshio Matsumoto’s Funeral Parade of Roses (1969). The film, which has been cited as a direct influence on director Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange (1971), loosely adapts Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex to the queer counterculture of 1960s Tokyo.

Tickets are $10. For more information and showtimes, visit the Broad Theater’s website.
