The Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard Merchants and Business Association presents a screening of director Matt Tyraneur’s Citizen Jane: Battle for the City (2016). The new documentary looks back at writer and activist Jane Jacobs’ efforts in the 1960s to preserve downtown New York in the face of developer and politician Robert Moses’ plans to demolish swaths of the city to build a highway.
