The New Orleans Center for the Gulf South presents a talk with Joshua Jelly-Shapiro, author of Island People: The Caribbean and the World, a recently published travelogue that connects the histories of various Caribbean nations. At this lecture, Jelly-Shapiro talks with Kim Vaz-Deville about the affinities between the Caribbean and the Gulf South. The conversation is followed by a reception at Three Keys at the Ace Hotel New Orleans.
