On International Women’s Day, four artists and scholars discuss one of last year’s most popular musical albums.

Tulane University’s Gender and Sexuality Studies Program, the New Orleans Center for the Gulf South, and the Newcomb College Institute host “Making Lemonade: Race, Gender, and New Orleans in Beyoncé’s Album.” The panel discussion will look at Beyoncé’s Lemonade visual album as it relates to feminism, race, and the American South. Speakers include professor Regina Bradley, filmmaker Garrett Bradley, artist and healer Janet “Sula” Evans, and professor Nghana Lewis.
