PATOIS: The New Orleans International Human Rights Film Festival, founded in 2004, returns, screening four days of films that address social-justice issues in the city and beyond. This year’s films include Ecohybridity, a short film about the displacement of black bodies after Hurricane Katrina; Pinkwashing Exposed: Seattle Fights Back (2015), a documentary exposing the ways in which countries use “gay friendliness” to improve their image; and Speed Sisters (2015), a film about the first all-woman race car driving team in the Middle East.
