Two new exhibitions open at Tulane University’s Newcomb Art Museum.
The Newcomb Art Museum at Tulane University hosts a reception to celebrate the opening of two new exhibitions: “Andrea Dezsö: I Wonder” and “Kate Clark: Mysterious Presence.” Transylvania-born Dezsö uses embroidery, animation, ceramics, and glass, among other materials, to imaginatively explore personal and cultural histories. Clark combines human and animal forms in mysterious—and somewhat grotesque—taxidermy creatures.
This event is free and open to the public. The reception follows a lecture by Andrea Dezsö at 6 pm in the Woldenberg Art Center’s Freeman Auditorium. For more information, visit the museum’s website.
