The Joan Mitchell Center celebrates the opening of its newly renovated campus and the launch of its Artist-in-Residence program.
The Joan Mitchell Center hosts an open house to celebrate its inaugural artists in residence and the unveiling of its newly designed campus on Bayou Road. The Joan Mitchell Center worked with Office of Jonathan Tate to renovate the historic buildings on its campus and with Lee Ledbetter & Associates to construct a new LEED Silver Certified studio building for its Artist-in-Residence program. This fall, the Center will welcome twenty-one artists from New Orleans and around the country.
During the grand opening, the Center will lead tours of the campus’s new studio and living spaces and will provide information about the Artist-in-Residence program. For more information, visit the Joan Mitchell Center’s website.
This event is free and open to the public.
