As part of the Wetlands Art Tour, printmaker and current A Studio in the Woods artist-in-residence, Pippin Frisbie-Calder, will collaborate with Dr. Tim McLean of Tulane University to create a body of work around micro algae awareness. Their projections of phytoplankton, glowing sculptures, woodcuts, and drawings will act as large-scale representations of the aquatic micro-organisms of the wetlands and oceans, demonstrating their importance, functions, and roles within the larger ecosystem.
