The Consulate of Mexico hosts a free film screening of Betty y Pancho.
Join Stella Jones Gallery and the Consulate of Mexico in New Orleans for their collaborative screening of Betty y Pancho (1998).
Mexican filmmaker Juan Mora Catlett's documentary, Betty y Pancho, centers on the half-century marriage and collaboration of his parents: the Mexican painter, printmaker, and muralist, Francisco Mora, and the African-American sculptor, printmaker, and painter, Elizabeth Catlett. A short talk by Mora Beauchamp-Byrd, Assistant Professor in Art, Art History, and Visual Studies at Duke University, will follow the film.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information contact Stella Jones Gallery.
