A play inspired by William Blake and Nicolaus Copernicus pops up in the Lower Garden District.

Lowling and Mary Majaks present a two-act play that follows eight characters as they anticipate the arrival of a sun they’ve never seen. In creating the surreal landscape of Waiting for the Sun, writer Blake Bertuccelli was influenced by William Blake, Nicolaus Copernicus, Bertolt Brecht’s Galileo, and August Strindberg’s Dream Play. The performance takes place in a shotgun house-turned-performance-space in the Lower Garden District.

Tickets are $7. More information and tickets are available on Lowling’s website and Facebook.
