The roving “Internet-ish flea market” pops up on the St. Claude Avenue neutral ground.
Caroline Sinders, BUREAU of CHANGE, and IDPW bring the Internet Yami-Ichi to New Orleans during the Second Saturday openings on St. Claude Avenue. IDPW—a self-described “secret society on the internet that goes back more than 100 years”—organized the first Internet Yami-Ichi in Tokyo in 2012. Since then, the market has traveled to Berlin, Sapporo, Brussels, Amsterdam, and New York. Each iteration has brought together artists and vendors presenting an array of IRL goods inspired by our changing relationships to the Internet.
The New Orleans Micro Internet Yami-Ichi will feature works by BUREAU of CHANGE, Caroline Sinders, Tameka Norris, and H. Cole Wiley. Visit Facebook for updates and more information.
