The eighth annual PhotoNOLA takes place December 12-15, 2013 with a broad range of photography exhibitions on display throughout December. Workshops, gallery talks, and lectures are included in the schedule, as well as more than 50 exhibitions.
PhotoNOLA begins Thursday, December 12 with a day-long symposium on the creation of photobooks, featuring a lecture by Mary Virginia Swanson and a publishing panel discussion. That evening, 2013 Guggenheim Fellowship recipient Deborah Luster will present the Keynote Lecture at the New Orleans Museum of Art, followed immediately by the PhotoGALA Benefit Party.
PhotoNOLA is an annual festival of photography in New Orleans coordinated by the New Orleans Photo Alliance in partnership with galleries, museums, and other venues citywide. Most events are free and open to the public.
