New Orleans Entrepreneur Week kicks off with a day of programming geared toward artists, arts organizers, and creative business owners.
The Downtown Development District, the Creative Alliance of New Orleans, and the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation present the Creative Industries Summit as part of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW).
At 11:30 am, a panel, “Report on Creative Commerce Trends,” addresses strategies for growth and discusses shifts in the creative economy in New Orleans and elsewhere. At 1:15 pm, a second panel, “Why Cultural Entrepreneurship is a Win Win for All,” looks at models for creative businesses at all scales. And at 2:30 pm, finalists for the Downtown NOLA Arts-Based Business Pitch compete for $40,000 in cash and services to help make their businesses a reality.
NOEW is free and open to the public, but registration is required. For more information, including a complete list of speakers, and to sign up, visit NOEW’s website.
