The Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses present “Queens, Goddesses, Yama-Yama Girls, and Pussyfooters: Women and Carnival in New Orleans,” a lecture with historian Karen Leathem from the Louisiana State Museum. Leathem discusses the many ways women have shaped Carnival traditions.
