A talk at the Historic New Orleans Collection looks at the history of furniture distribution along the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.

In conjunction with “Goods of Every Description: Shopping in New Orleans, 1825-1925,” the Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) hosts a talk: “From the Queen City to the Crescent City: Cincinnati Furniture in New Orleans and the Mississippi Valley, 1825-1900.” Andrew Richmond of Wipiak Consulting and Appraisals discusses the history of furniture production in Cincinnati, Ohio, and its distribution by steam travel.
