Freeman’s Own: A Writer’s Talk Series

This is a past event

Two events for writers celebrate a recent anthology that focuses on family life.

In conjunction with the recent release of Freeman’s: The Best New Writing on Family, editor John Freeman joins writers Garnette Cadogan, Aminatta Forna, Honorée Fononne Jeffers, and Rebecca Snedeker for a panel discussion on September 29 at Ashé Cultural Arts Center that focuses on the ways writing can deal with issues of family. And on September 30, Cadogan and Jeffers give a talk, moderated by Gia Hamilton, director of the Joan Mitchell Center, at the Ace Hotel on writing about race.
