The New Orleans Loving Festival hosts a screening of a documentary about the Supreme Court case that overturned laws barring interracial marriage.
As part of the New Orleans Loving Festival, Ashé Cultural Arts Center hosts a screening of director Nancy Buirsky’s The Loving Story (2011). The documentary tells the story of Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple who challenged Virginia’s anti-miscegenation laws.
