Blights Out is calling for applications for a new project-based fellowship for artists and activists in New Orleans. The initiative is looking for an artist—ideally a New Orleans native with organizing experience—who uses art to address issues of land use, gentrification, and housing affordability. The chosen fellow receives a $2500 honorarium for a project to be started this summer.

Before applying, read an interview with Blights Out co-founders Imani Jacqueline Brown, Carl Joe Williams, and Lisa Sigal on the Art Review. For more information on Blights Out and application guidelines for the fellowship, visit Facebook.
