On Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3, Public Movement will hold Debriefing Session I, a series of private, one-on-one sessions that reveal key conflicts from the mission SALONS: Birthright Palestine?. This action was presented as part of the 2012 New Museum Triennial, “The Ungovernables.”

While developing the project in New York over the course of six months, Public Movement negotiated with power structures and various publics, navigating agendas, institutional alliances, backroom politics, and creating fractures across a spectrum of individual and organizational positions. Debriefing Session I foregrounds the transitional moment between research and action by turning members of the public into emissaries of this information.

Activated in New Orleans for the first time, Debriefing Session I functions as a new method of sharing the complex relations between cultural production, public and private funding bodies, political agendas and activism.

Time: April 2, 10 am - 1 pm; April 3, 1 pm - 7 pm. Debriefing Session I starts every 30 minutes.
Location: The action will take place in a public location to be disclosed.
Price: Free
Duration: 20 minutes
Protocol: Alhena Katsof and Dana Yahalomi
Agent: Nir Shauloff

Access to Debriefing Session I is limited, and a reservation is required. Email amanda@pelicanbomb.com to schedule your one-on-one session and for instructions to participate in Debriefing Session I.
