Writer Edward Ball gives a talk about his book, which looks at the history of slavery in the South.

A Studio in the Woods and the New Orleans Center for the Gulf South host a lecture by writer Edward Ball, who will discuss his book Slaves in the Family, which investigates the interconnected histories of his ancestors, who owned a plantation near Charleston, South Carolina, and the enslaved people who worked there.

The talk takes place in the Freeman Auditorium in Tulane University’s Woldenberg Art Center.
