Antenna hosts the launch of an anthology of writing from the experimental Moroccan publication.
Antenna’s Room 220 hosts the New Orleans launch of Souffles-Anfas: A Critical Anthology from the Moroccan Journal of Culture and Politics, edited by Olivia C. Harrison and Teresa Villa-Ignacio. The collection looks back at the short-lived but highly influential publication (1966 - 1972) that served as forum for experimental writing in postcolonial North Africa. The anthology includes contributions by Abdelkebir Khatibi, Tahar Ben Jelloun, Albert Memmi, Etel Adnan, Sembène Ousmane, René Depestre, and Mohamed Melehi. The editors will discuss the process of researching, assembling, and editing the book.
