A documentary investigates the violence of two border towns.
Shotgun Cinema presents the Louisiana premiere of directors Bill and Turner Ross’ Western (2014), a documentary that looks at the escalating violence in the border towns of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Piedras Negras, Mexico. The film centers around Chad Foster, Eagle Pass’ mayor, and Martin Wall, a fifth-generation cattle rancher, as they navigate increasingly complex border politics and anti-Mexican sentiment inside the United States. The directors and producer Michael Gottwald will be in attendance.
Admission is $7. For more information and tickets, visit Shotgun Cinema’s website.
