Occupy Museums is inviting artists with debt to participate in Debtfair, a project which is featured in the 2017 Whitney Biennial.
Occupy Museums—led by a group of core collaborators including New Orleans-based Imani Jacqueline Brown—invites artists to participate in Debtfair, a project that examines the economic burdens placed on artists.
Occupy Museums is particularly interested in organizing artists currently in default of their loans; artists who are current or former students of New York University; and Puerto Rican artists or artist of Puerto Rican descent who have been directly affected by austerity measures.
