The Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) hosts a conversation with poets Nikki Giovanni and Clint Smith to discuss the influence and legacy of James Baldwin. In 1971, Giovanni conducted an interview with Baldwin for the PBS program Soul!, in which the two attempted to delineate the problems facing black and white Americans in the United States.

This event is free and open to the public, but a reservation is required. For more information and to RSVP, visit the CAC’s website.
