As part of its regular Friday Nights series, the New Orleans Museum of Art presents a lecture and a reading by poet Robin Coste Lewis, winner of a 2015 National Book Award for Voyage of the Sable Venus. Lewis will discuss her research on the history of depictions of the black female body and the ways in which racial identity is embedded in art history.
