Several of the art galleries on Julia Street will host openings for their new shows.

Jonathan Ferrara Gallery (400A Julia St) opens its 19th annual “No Dead Artists” exhibition, which features work by 12 artists from around the country. Gallerist Max Fishko, curator Valerie Cassel Oliver, and New Orleans-based collector David Workman selected the works for this year’s show. The gallery hosts a reception from 6 to 9 pm. New paintings by Betsy Eby—who currently has a solo exhibition at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art—are on view at Octavia Art Gallery (454 Julia St). The gallery hosts a reception from 6 to 8 pm. More information can be found on the gallery's website.
