The Arts Council New Orleans and Ashé Cultural Arts Center host free artist workshops with David Terry of the New York Foundation for the Arts.

Presented by David Terry, Director of Programs and Curator at the New York Foundation for the Arts, these workshops provide a basic framework for individual artists looking to sustain their artistic practice including an overview on goal-setting, financial awareness, marketing and building relationships, fundraising, presenting work, and emergency planning. Artists will be asked to consider their own short and long term professional goals in light of these principles, and will learn about the various resources and services available to help them. The workshops are geared toward artists working in all disciplines looking to take the next step in their professional career.

The events are free and open to the public. To attend the workshop on April 29, 3-5pm at the Arts Council New Orleans (935 Gravier Street) please send an RSVP to Gene Meneray.
