Tulane University hosts Dr. Carol Armstrong of Yale University to lecture on Edgar Degas.

Tulane University's Newcomb Art Department hosts Dr. Carol Armstrong, a professor of art history at Yale University, to present a talk about the work of Edgar Degas. Author of Odd Man Out: Readings of the Work and Reputation of Edgar Degas, Dr. Armstrong teaches and writes about 19th-century French painting, the history of photography, the history and practice of art criticism, feminist theory, and the representation of women and gender in art and visual culture.

The lecture will take place in the Freeman Auditorium on Wednesday, April 22 at 6pm. This talk coincides with the Newcomb Art Gallery's current exhibition "Edgar Degas: The Private Impressionist" on view through May 24.
