A Studio in the Woods is now accepting applications for six-week-long artist residencies.
As a part of A Studio in the Woods, a program of Tulane University, Flint and Steel are six-week-long residencies intended to create a platform for artists to collaborate with Tulane faculty partners. Both established and emerging artists are invited to submit a letter of interest by April 1, 2015.
Artists of varying disciplines are encouraged to apply, but a demonstrated commitment to environmental issues is expected. Residencies may take place some time between September 2015 and May 2016. Students are not eligible to apply. Recipients will be provided with a $2000 stipend and $1000 for materials. Room, board, and studio space is also provided by A Studio in the Woods.
