Call for Submissions: REVERB

This is a past event

The CAC invites contemporary visual artists to submit work for an exhibition marking the ten-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Marking the ten-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, "REVERB" will position the vast social, economic, and political reverberations of this monumental event as a catalyst for change and creative innovation among the region’s artistic community. This exhibition is organized by the Contemporary Arts Center and guest curator, Isolde Brielmaier, Director of the Contemporary Art Initiative at Westfield World Trade Center in New York.

The call is open to artists who live or show work regularly in the Greater New Orleans area. All mediums are encouraged. Selected applicants will be notified on April 8 for an exhibition that runs August 1 – November 1, 2015.

The submission fee is $30 and can be paid here. For more information visit the Contemporary Arts Center.
