Katie Pfohl, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the New Orleans Museum of Art, discusses the recently opened exhibition “Visions of US: American Art at NOMA” as part of the museum’s Friday Nights at NOMA series. Following the lecture, Pfohl leads a conversation about Dennis Oppenheim’s Guarded Land with Amy Plump Oppenheim, Director of the Dennis Oppenheim Studio, and Aaron Levy, Executive Director of the Slought Foundation.

NOMA has collaborated with the Dennis Oppenheim Estate to re-enact Guarded Land, a piece originally commissioned for the 1970 exhibition “Moon Rock and Earthworks.” The first performance takes place on Friday, November 20, 3:30 - 5:30 pm, before the lecture.
