Brooke Davis Anderson, Executive Director of Prospect New Orleans, will lead a panel discussion along with cultural historian Teresa Parker Farris and curator William Fagaly about the opportunities self-trained artists present for museums. The panel will investigate how self-taught artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Reverend Howard Finster, and Herbert Singleton challenge traditional notions in art history.

This event is free with museum admission.
