On Friday, March 21, at 6 pm, the New Orleans Museum of Art will host the keynote address for the symposium "On the Maya Trail: Ancient Travelers, Epic Voyages." Dr. Karl Taube from the University of California, Riverside, will present. After the lecture, attendees are invited to a reception tour of the museum's Pre-Columbian art collection.
The symposium will be March 20 - 23, and will take place at the Tulane University campus and at NOMA. Topics include art history, cultural anthropology, archaeology, epigraphy, and linguistics. Visit NOMA's website for more information.
