PhotoNOLA is an annual celebration of photography, coordinated by the New Orleans Photo Alliance in partnership with museums and galleries throughout the city. The roster of events during PhotoNOLA includes workshops, tours, lectures, exhibitions, and portfolio reviews. The 7th Annual PhotoNOLA will take place from Thursday, November 29-Sunday, December 2, with exhibitions on view throughout the month.
Here's a snapshot of events happening during PhotoNOLA:
Lecture by Curtis Mann at Tulane University's Freeman Auditorium (Thursday, November 29 at 5:30 pm).
"Photography, Sequence, & Time," lecture by curator Russell Lord, at the New Orleans Museum of Art (Friday, November 30 at 5:30 pm).
"Indie Photobook Library Pop-Up Exhibition," curated by Larissa Leclair, Jan Gilbert, and Russell Lord, at the Contemporary Arts Center (Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2).
"PhotoWALK," a display of 65 photographers participating in the photography portfolio review, at the International House (Saturday, December 1, 5-7 pm).
Lecture by Henry Horenstein at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art (Sunday, December 2 at 2 pm).
