The Cone of Uncertainty: New Orleans after Katrina

ArteFuturo Productions presents José Torres-Tama's The Cone of Uncertainty: New Orleans after Katrina. The multimedia solo performance will run Thursdays-Sundays, August 25-28, September 1-4, and September 8-11, 2011. All shows at 8 pm.

NEA award-winning performance artist José Torres-Tama escaped the flooded city of New Orleans on a stolen Jefferson Parish School Board bus three days after Hurricane Katrina overwhelmed the poorly built federal levees. For the 6th anniversary of the storm, the multidisciplinary artist remounts his critically acclaimed post-Katrina solo, which was staged locally as a work-in-progress in March 2006. This marks the first time that The Cone of Uncertainty is seen in New Orleans in its finished incarnation. Admission: $10 at the door and two tickets for $16. All students are $8.
