Electro-Sonic Painting: An Interactive Art Performance

Presented by the CAC and P.A.I.N.T. (Performance Art Integrating New Technologies), Electro-Sonic Painting is a performance that meshes visual art and music in one technological process. Local artist Marcus Brown has invented a process that makes playing music and creating visual art at the same time possible with electronically-charged brushes and canvases that Brown fabricates and wires himself. Collaborator Nathan Weidenhaft, programmer and guitarist, plays his own space-age instruments. Weidenhaft plays his guitar like a theremin by using his hand to bend notes and create different sounds. Featuring special guests Brian Seeger and Doug Garrison.

Admission: $12; $10 CAC members and students with ID. For more information and to buy tickets, click here.
